Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions Randy hears most about Kings Row Storage. Don't see yours? Send him a message or call (305) 741-7096.

01 How does access work?
Convenient access to the lot — drive in and go to your assigned spot. Designated spots, on-site management, and 24-hour video surveillance keep things in order.
02 What's the lease term?
Month-to-month. Stay as long as you need — no annual contract.
03 How is pricing calculated?
One simple rate per linear foot per month, based on what you're storing: $8.00/ft for empty trailers, $10.50/ft for boats and personal watercraft on trailers, and $8.00/ft for motorhomes and RVs. Call Randy for a quote on oversized units.
04 How do I measure my rig?
We use LOA — length overall — measured from the longest point to the longest point. For a boat on a trailer, that's from the tip of the trailer tongue to the back of the outboard or engine. A 25-foot boat on a trailer often measures around 32 feet LOA once you include the tongue and motor. Not sure? Randy can help you measure when you get here.
05 Do you offer short-term storage?
Yes — weekly and monthly storage options are available. Call Randy at (305) 741-7096 for current short-term rates and availability.
06 Do I need to carry insurance on my stored item?
Yes — your boat, RV, or trailer should be covered by your own insurance while in storage. Most owners already have this through their RV or marine policy.
07 How do I reserve a spot?
Easiest way is to call Randy directly at (305) 741-7096. He can tell you on the spot what size spots are open and quote you a rate. If you can't reach him, the contact form below sends an email he'll get to.
08 Can I move in the same day?
Yes, if we've got a spot open in your size. Best to call Randy first at (305) 741-7096 so he can confirm what's available — saves you a trip if everything in your size is full.
09 How do I pay?
Cash, check, and card all work. Most customers end up paying monthly through our QuickBooks billing — invoices come by email, and you can pay online in one click or set up autopay.
10 Do you have wash-down and battery charging?
Yes — every space has access to a fresh water wash-down area to rinse off after a day on the water, and electrical power on site for battery charging between trips.
11 What if I need a mechanic, AC tech, or other service while I'm down?
Randy's been a local for 30 years. Tell him what you need — he probably has a guy. Saves you the hour of Yelp scrolling.
12 Do you help unload heavy gear?
There's a forklift on site for situations where you need a hand with heavy or awkward stuff. Coordinate with Randy in advance for big jobs.
13 Where exactly are you?
20141 Kings Row, Sugarloaf Key, FL 33042 — right off US-1, next to the KOA campground, across from Mangrove Mamas restaurant.
14 Can you store derelict or non-running vehicles?
We're a storage lot, not a salvage yard. Vehicles and trailers need to be in reasonable condition and registered. If you're not sure, call Randy.
